(South Bend, IN) – PMI has been nominated for and selected as a recipient of the 2005 Samaritan Counseling Center Family Values in Business Award. The award honors St. Joseph County businesses that recognize the importance of, and create, family-friendly workplaces. Part of the judging process includes a comprehensive report prepared by St. Mary’s University students in a business ethics class, based on their visits to the company and interviews with PMI employees. The final selection was made by representatives of business, academic and faith-based organizations.
The analysis report prepared during the selection process states, “…PMI has done an extraordinary job of allocating funds to offer programs which best meet employees’ personal and business needs. After thoroughly analyzing PMI, we feel that the company is as family friendly as it possibly can be, due to the nature of the business.”

"Moreover, supporting strong family values is simply good business. It's practically self-serving," he added, "and I can’t imagine any company would want to go down any other path.”

PMI is Indiana's only "Technology Pacesetter"
(South Bend, IN) For the 7th consecutive year, PMI has distinguished itself by being named a "Technology Pacesetter" by Accounting Today magazine. With offices in South Bend and Chicago, PMI is the only firm named a "Technology Pacesetter" in Indiana and one of a handful of firms to achieve the honor every year since its inception. Pacesetters are selected based on recognition by peers and business partners as leaders in the field, and on their proven records as innovators and business operators. "Pacesetters distinguish themselves through their performance, including such factors as awards won by the firms, leadership, industry reputation, revenue per employee, and growth," according to Bob Scott, Editor of Accounting Today.
The national magazine's annual "Technology Pacesetters" nominating procedure identifies and surveys the tax and accounting profession's leading technology consultants and resellers. Editors canvass top software vendors, review leading professional associations, and use in-depth personal knowledge and understanding of the industry in making their selections. Accounting Today then studies the winning business strategies, leading-edge trends, and toughest business issues. The results yield an inside look at the technology consulting business.
"In today's rapidly changing economic environment, companies need the assurance that their business solutions will have a positive impact on their bottom line and that projects are completed on-time and on-budget. PMI provides those assurances," says Brian Sittley, President of PMI. "We are proud to be recognized again this year by Accounting Today magazine. Our firm's substantial growth over the past several years, in spite of the general economic uncertainty, is a testament to the dedication of our professional staff and the quality of solutions we offer.
"Choosing the right implementation partner is as important as, and arguably more important than, choosing the right software. Recognition by our peers and the software industry experts testifies to our competence and leadership," according to Sittley.
